Is this class for you?

Many people can read English and write English. But when someone speaks to them, the words do not come out. If that sounds like you, this class is for you.

This class is for you if

You understand some English, but it is hard to reply. You feel shy when you speak. You do not like making phone calls in English. You want to talk to your doctor, your child's teacher, or your neighbour. You are new to New Zealand and you want to feel at home here.

Start where you are

You do not need to know much English to join. We start from where you are today.

No test

This class is not for an exam. It is for real life: shops, work, doctors, school, and friends.

No one laughs

Everyone in the class is learning. Mistakes are normal. That is how you get better.

In the Classroom

What happens in a class

You talk. That is the main thing. You cannot learn to speak by listening only.

01

You speak, a lot

Groups are small. You are not sitting quietly at the back. Every student gets time to talk in every class.

02

Real situations

We practise things you do every week. Asking for help in a shop. Making an appointment. Talking to a teacher at school.

03

Your teacher helps you

When you make a mistake, your teacher shows you the right way, kindly. You try again. Soon it feels easy.

04

You go at your speed

Some people learn fast. Some people need more time. Both are fine. Nobody is pushed.

Classes run every week

There is no end date. You come each week and keep learning. You stay until you feel confident. Some students stay for a few months. Some stay longer. It is your choice.

This is different from our exam courses. An exam course has a test at the end. This class does not. The goal is simple: you speak English, and people understand you.

To start, come and meet a teacher first. It is free, and it takes about fifteen minutes. The teacher will listen to your English and tell you which class is right for you. Then we will tell you when you can begin.

Later, if you need a test score

Many students join us only to speak better in daily life. That is enough. You do not need to do anything else.

But some students later need an English score. You may need one for a visa, for a job, or to study. When you are ready, we teach those tests too, at the same centres and with the same teachers.

You can read about them here: PTE coaching and IELTS coaching. There is no hurry. Speak first, test later.

The first step is easy

Come and meet a teacher

It is free. It takes about fifteen minutes. The teacher will listen to your English and tell you which class is right for you. You do not have to join.

You can also send us a message on WhatsApp. Use the green button at the bottom of the page.

Questions

Common questions

Tap a question to see the answer.

My English is very poor. Can I still join?
Yes. These classes are made for beginners. You do not need to be good at English to start. Come and meet a teacher, and we will find the right class for you.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the class and how often you come. We will tell you the price when you meet the teacher. The first meeting is free, and you do not have to join.
How long is the course?
There is no end date. Classes run every week and you come for as long as you want. You stop when you feel confident.
Is there a test at the end?
No. There is no exam in this class. It is for speaking in real life. If you need a test score later, we teach PTE and IELTS as well.
Are the classes online?
No. Spoken English classes are in a classroom, at our Manukau, Papakura and Hamilton centres. Being in a room with other people is how you learn to speak. Our online one-to-one coaching is for PTE and IELTS only.
How big are the classes?
Small. That is important. In a big class you sit and listen. In a small class you speak, and speaking is how you learn.
When can I start?
Classes run every week, so you do not have to wait for a new term to begin. Meet a teacher first, and we will tell you when your class starts.
