Is this class for you?
Many people can read English and write English. But when someone speaks to them, the words do not come out. If that sounds like you, this class is for you.
You understand some English, but it is hard to reply. You feel shy when you speak. You do not like making phone calls in English. You want to talk to your doctor, your child's teacher, or your neighbour. You are new to New Zealand and you want to feel at home here.
You do not need to know much English to join. We start from where you are today.
This class is not for an exam. It is for real life: shops, work, doctors, school, and friends.
Everyone in the class is learning. Mistakes are normal. That is how you get better.
What happens in a class
You talk. That is the main thing. You cannot learn to speak by listening only.
You speak, a lot
Groups are small. You are not sitting quietly at the back. Every student gets time to talk in every class.
Real situations
We practise things you do every week. Asking for help in a shop. Making an appointment. Talking to a teacher at school.
Your teacher helps you
When you make a mistake, your teacher shows you the right way, kindly. You try again. Soon it feels easy.
You go at your speed
Some people learn fast. Some people need more time. Both are fine. Nobody is pushed.
Classes run every week
There is no end date. You come each week and keep learning. You stay until you feel confident. Some students stay for a few months. Some stay longer. It is your choice.
This is different from our exam courses. An exam course has a test at the end. This class does not. The goal is simple: you speak English, and people understand you.
To start, come and meet a teacher first. It is free, and it takes about fifteen minutes. The teacher will listen to your English and tell you which class is right for you. Then we will tell you when you can begin.

Later, if you need a test score
Many students join us only to speak better in daily life. That is enough. You do not need to do anything else.
But some students later need an English score. You may need one for a visa, for a job, or to study. When you are ready, we teach those tests too, at the same centres and with the same teachers.
You can read about them here: PTE coaching and IELTS coaching. There is no hurry. Speak first, test later.
