2. What this policy covers
This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your information.
3. The personal information we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details: your name, email address, and phone number.
- Enquiry and enrolment details: the course or pathway you are interested in, how you heard about us, and the content of your messages or assessment.
- Payment information: when you pay online, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not store your full card details.
- Booking details: information you provide when you book a consultation or assessment.
- Voice interaction data: when you speak with our AI voice assistant, the conversation may be recorded (see section 8).
- Website usage data: information collected automatically through cookies and analytics (see section 10).
4. How we collect your information
We collect personal information mainly directly from you, for example when you complete a form on our website, call or message us (including by WhatsApp), speak with our AI voice assistant, make a booking, pay for a course, or visit one of our centres.
In some cases we receive your information from others, for example a referral, an agent, or another part of the ProVisas group. Where we collect your information indirectly, we will let you know that we hold it, what we hold, why we hold it, and the rights you have, at the time of collection or as soon as practicable afterwards.
5. Why we collect it and how we use it
We use your personal information to:
- respond to your enquiries and assess your needs;
- arrange and deliver your coaching;
- process enrolments and payments;
- schedule consultations and assessments;
- send you information about courses, promotions (such as our online-enrolment discount), and follow-up;
- improve our website, services, and student support; and
- meet our legal and regulatory obligations.
We only use your information for the purpose it was collected for, or a directly related purpose, unless the Privacy Act allows otherwise.
6. Marketing and how to opt out
We may contact you by phone, WhatsApp, email, or text message about courses, assessments, and offers that may be relevant to you. You can ask us to stop at any time by replying to the message, using any unsubscribe option provided, or emailing us at contact@targeteducation.ac.nz. We will action your request promptly.
7. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed to run our services, including with trusted third-party providers who process information on our behalf, and within the ProVisas group where it is relevant to your enquiry. These providers include:
- HubSpot: manages our enquiry forms and customer records.
- Stripe: processes online payments.
- ElevenLabs: powers our AI voice assistant (see section 8).
- Cal.com: manages online bookings.
- Google: provides website analytics and search reporting.
We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it.
8. Our AI voice assistant
When you call or interact with our voice assistant ("Liza"), you are speaking with an artificial-intelligence assistant, not a person. These conversations may be recorded and processed by our provider, ElevenLabs, to handle your enquiry and improve our service. This information may be stored or processed outside New Zealand. If you would prefer to speak with a person, you can call our team directly or visit a centre.
9. Sending information overseas
Some of our service providers store or process personal information outside New Zealand, for example in the United States, the European Union, or Australia. Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected to a standard comparable to the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
10. Cookies and website analytics
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and HubSpot tracking, to understand how the site is used and to improve it. You can disable cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well as a result.
11. How we store and protect your information
We take reasonable steps to keep your personal information secure against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, use, or disclosure. No system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect the information we hold.
12. How long we keep your information
We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this policy or to meet our legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, we securely delete or de-identify it.
13. Children and young people
Some of our students are under 18. Where we knowingly collect a young person's information, we handle it with extra care and may involve a parent or guardian where appropriate.
14. Your rights: access and correction
You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, email us at contact@targeteducation.ac.nz. We will respond within the timeframes set by the Privacy Act 2020, which is generally 20 working days.
15. How to contact us or make a complaint
If you have a question or concern about how we handle your personal information, please contact our Privacy Officer in the first instance at contact@targeteducation.ac.nz, or by phone on +64 22 512 1112.
