Curriculum breakdown

The General Training test uses everyday English in workplace and social contexts. Our programme focuses on the exact task types you'll see on test day, with special attention to the letter-writing and speaking modules that trip up many candidates.

• Listening: Social contexts, conversations, short lectures. Answer-location strategies.
• Reading: Notices, advertisements, workplace documents, longer texts. Speed-reading and matching techniques.
• Writing Task 1 (Letter): Formal, semi-formal, and informal letter templates. Common scenarios like complaints, requests, and recommendations.
• Writing Task 2 (Essay): Opinion, discussion, and problem-solution essays. Band 7+ structure and vocabulary.
• Speaking: One-to-one practice with a human examiner. Part 1, 2, and 3 strategies for natural fluency under pressure.
